OLIMPIADAS - FÚTBOL OLIMPICO

Olympic Football Tournament 

 Torneo Olímpico de Fútbol Torneo de Fútbol de los Juegos Olímpicos - Información general
El torneo más antiguo y tradicional con mayor presencia internacional en el fútbol mundial.
Después de servir como un deporte de demostración en el algunos de los primeros Juegos Olímpicos el torneo de fútbol de los Juegos Olímpicos llegó a su pico en la Década de 1920 cuando el torneo debe ser considerado como el campeonato del mundo de ese momento.
Sin embargo, con la introducción de un adecuado Copa del Mundo en 1930, el estado del torneo reducido. Sobre todo, ya que sólo los jugadores aficionados se pueden participar, el torneo fue por muchos años dominado por
aficionados del estado de Europa del Este.
 Para contrarrestar esto, y mejorar la situación del fútbol olímpico se permitió a que jugadores profesionales participasen a partir de la década de 1980, aunque sujeto a ciertas restricciones : edad de los jugadores menores de 23 años y la posibilidad si de incluir a tres mayores de esa edad.
