La sede nuevamente sufrió cambios debería ser Zimbabwe pero termino siendo Ghana y Nigeria ya que se considero que el gobierno de Robert Mugabe en Zimbabwe estaba poco comprometido con realizar el evento, años despues dicho paíse sufriría serios problemas economicos llegando a altas tasas de desempleo (94%), a parte de llegar a una inflación record entre el 2000 y el 2007
